Ariana’s Favorite Song

In several of the stories Ariana mentions her favorite song Moon Light. She’s an accomplished dancer as well as a brave member of the Terran Scouts. She chooses it to dance with Ryas when they first met in the short story “Ariana’s First Mision” and several other occasions after that. Moon Light is really just the English translation of Claude DeBussy’s famous piano piece Clair de Lune (which has been well orchestrated most notable by Stokowski). It’s a very romantic piece and is good to dance with someone that’s holding you close.

She also dances with Treanka to this in “Ariana and Treanka’s Pirate Adventure”, with Cansina in “Ariana and Cansina Visit the Colony” and with Kwils and Trina in the novel “Kranlian Rendezvous”. I may be getting repetitive, but it is her favorite song. When Treanka wears her Soletian cami for Ariana in “Ariana and Treanka’s Pirate Adventure” Treanka tells her that she played Moon Light all the time when she was alone and depressed on her assignment on the Strasbourg and that she used it to think of Ariana.
